HOMEMADE OREOS

I have been making these bad boys since I was in Junior High School.   I actually made these in my cooking class and never tossed the recipe.  If you know me, I have very unhealthy addiction to the Oreo cookie. These are probably one of husband favorite desserts and a friend favorite.  Every camping trip im required to bring these cookies and they never make it through the entire weekend.

1 box chocolate cake mix- I prefer German chocolate or dutch chocolate
6 Tbsp oil
2 eggs
1 can cream cheese frosting

Mix all the ingredients in a bowl with a fork.  It will be hard and you might need to knead with your hands to really get it mixed well.  It will form one big ball.  Roll into 1" balls and place on cookie sheet. Bake at 350 for 8 minutes no longer.  When cookies are done lightly drop on counter to help flatten cookies.  Immediately remove and place on cooling rack.
When cookies are cool add cream cheese frosting and frost the flat side of  one cookie and top with another flat side of another cookie. You can make your own frosting but we like the pre-made stuff better.

Hope you and your family will enjoy them as much as we do.
